On October 24, 2024, Ningde Times launched the Snap-remote hybrid battery specifically designed for plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs). The battery has a range of 400 kilometers, a fast charge in 10 minutes can increase the driving distance of 280 kilometers, and can maintain performance at minus 20 degrees Celsius.

Compared with BYD PHEV, Snapremote hybrid battery has longer life. It uses a unique technology that combines lithium-ion batteries and sodium-ion battery cells to achieve a balance of battery life and low-temperature durability.

With the increasing popularity of PHEV in the domestic market, Ningde Times expects that the Snapremote hybrid battery can attract more consumers to switch to the use of electric driving mode. According to the data, domestic PHEV sales in September 2024 exceeded 500,000 units, accounting for 20% of the total sales in the month.

Snapremote hybrid battery has been delivered to Chongqing Changan Automobile, Ideal Automobile and other manufacturers, it is expected that there will be nearly 30 PHEV equipped with this battery.
